Daily Practices for a Healthier You
(Part 2 of 2)
As you prepare to wrap up 2019 and start making your goals list for 2020, keep your PHYSICAL & EMOTIONAL HEALTH at the top of the list. A few months ago, we started on a journey toward a healthier you by tapping into six areas in your life that require attention. You’ll recall that the experiences on the list of issues with which you may resonate were:
- Less physical discomfort in my body and healthier inflammatory responses, please.
- Regardless of what I eat, my tummy feels BLAH.
- Stress is part of life and I want to be able to handle it without losing my head.
- I don’t think I’m getting all the nutrients my body needs.
- I have very low energy, sometimes I’m not even sure how I make it through the day.
- I’m not looking forward to the coughing, sneezing and runny noses that tend to happen during colder temperatures.
In Part 1, we covered numbers 1-3, and today we’re talking about 4, 5, and 6.
Daily Practices, continued
4. I don’t think I’m getting all the nutrients my body needs.
The sad reality is that today’s foods do not contain the right amount of nutrients that your body requires to function optimally. Your body needs lean proteins to support muscle growth, healthy fats for your brain and heart, complex carbohydrates to turn into cellular energy, and a wide variety of vitamins, minerals, and more to operate smoothly.
If you find yourself leaning frequently toward processed foods (such as packaged meals or drive-thru dinners) you can bet your hard-earned dollar that you are consuming calorie-rich foods that are loaded with sodium, gluten, sugar, preservatives, and other ingredients that your body will have a difficult time digesting, and that is also devoid of nutrients that help you thrive.
People who regularly eat several servings of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, etc., daily may be shocked to learn that they, too, might be deficient in certain nutrients. That’s because many of the nutrients that are meant to be in your foods are missing due to sourcing, inorganic practices, soil conditions, time span from farm to table, and more.
The solution: bio-available supplements to help your body fill in some of the gaps between what you need and what you eat.
doTERRA offers two options to help create a sturdy foundation for your overall nutritional wellness. The Basic Nutrient Pack provides a daily dose of food-based vitamins, minerals and omegas to support normal growth, and health system function. When you add the Alpha CRS+ to target cellular health and structure, you’ve got what is known as the Lifelong Vitality Pack. These are available in different packaging and in vegan formulas.
5. I have very low energy, sometimes I’m not even sure how I make it through the day.
Your body is constantly bombarded with physical, emotional, and environmental stress that burdens your vital organs and fatigues you from the inside out. Contrary to what you think, the last thing you should do is “push” your body when it feels like it is already running at maximum capacity! When you experience that crashing-and-burning sensation, that is your body begging for glandular support, amongst a few other requests!
Supplementing daily is an incredible start, and most of my clients report a significant improvement in their overall energy levels once they eliminate the use of artificial stimulants like caffeinated beverages and sugary substances and add-in the following protocol to their daily regimen.
There are a few oils that I recommend daily to help you create a sense of focus and renewal, along with promoting enhanced concentration and retention. The oils on this list are basil, lavender, lemon, and peppermint.
Also important as part of this daily regimen is Mito2Max, which is a unique formula of plant extracts and metabolic cofactors that supports healthy cellular energy, stamina, and mental clarity. Its ingredients include Acetyl-L-carnitine which supports mental health, mitochondrial function, and circulation to the brain, and Oligonol®† which is a unique and powerful antioxidant blend that combines biologically active polyphenols from lychee fruit and green tea in a form that allows them to be quickly absorbed and is effective at protecting cells against free radicals and oxidation.
Following this simple protocol every day will help take your energy low to HIGH in no time!
6. I’m not looking forward to the coughing, sneezing and runny noses that tend to happen during colder temperatures.
Aside from the added stress that shows up for most during this time of year, we have our normal life obligations to manage; being forced into bed for days on end because we’re under the weather is not something we can physically or literally afford.
Staying on top of your health habits by eating well, supplementing, and taking the necessary steps to upgrade your glandular status will go a long way during these (and all) times. For an added BOOST to your immune function, try the following:
Tangerine Essential Oil is very high in d-Limonene, which has been known to increase immune function simply by taking a few drops internally every day.
The On Guard family of products has been tested by many top-notch universities globally with stellar results! That’s why it’s our (and most of my clients’) first line of defense when it comes to staying healthy. Benjamin Franklin once said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”, and we take those words very seriously around this healthy household.
There you have it! Tips to help you stay strong and healthy and to help you feel IN CONTROL of your lifestyle!
